Anthony “TJ” Jackson
Class of ’81 Pitcher
Anthony “TJ” Jackson played four years of Aggie baseball under the legendary coach Mel “Big 10″ Groomes. He recalls anytime he was in a jam on the mound Big 10 telling him “…………son just throw the ball over the plate and let your teammates do the rest. “TJ” finished his baseball career in 1981 and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He stayed at A&T and completed his M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1983. “TJ” continues to support A&T in many ways, originally from Washington, DC, he started a scholarship in his name for Aggie electrical engineering students from the Washington, DC area. He also serves as the College of Engineering representative in the NCA&TSU National Alumni Association. Aggie fans will be pleased to know that “TJ” still plays softball in his spare time, 3-4 days a week during the season. “TJ” lives in Bowie, MD and his daughter, Antoinette, is currently a sophomore at A&T, so the legacy continues.
